Going Nude!!

Hi Guys! Welcome to my first blog post!

But first, let me introduce myself... I'm Brooke, founder of Luxelab Apothecary. I have been instilled from a young age that natural remedies and pure is best. I learnt it all from my grandmother who relied on her Lavender and Vitamin E amoungst many others. God bless her soul, she always had a natural solution. But it was not until the last few years that I really had my awakening. 20 years later and now I'm obsessed! Absolutely addicted to feeling great and knowing my products have got my back!

How many of you have thought about going natural? Are you contemplating making that switch to alternate body products? What are some reasons why?

Our skin is the largest organ in the human body. Amazing right? But do you feed your skin and look after it? As a society, we are constantly talking about diets, nutrition and what we put into our bodies. How much water we drink, how much kale we eat and what new amazing supplements we are trying. But what we don't always realise, is that your skin is one big sponge. Just soaks everything up. You wouldn't intentially drink chemicals in your water, so why are we putting it on our skin? Because supermarkets and chemists sell them right? They must be ok!!

So think about the products in your bathroom and in your makeup case. Your shampoo, deoderant and body wash... What are the main ingredients? Can you do better for your body?

We really have become obsessed with those high end fragrances and popular labels so much so that we complety look past it all. We have all been there. But it's really that balance for me. We should be feeding our skin with vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. We want products with benefits, not chemicals.

In the last 2020 lockdown I made the switch to one of the last products on my list... natural deoderant! Well let me tell you, it's not easy. You have to be 100% commited lol. Your body needs time to detox from years and years of build up that has been soaking straight into your armpits and into your body. Oh, but let me reassure you, when you make the decision to do it, you will never look back. In fact, you hardly need any deoderant at all! Whaaaat?? Exactly what I thought!
